- File consists of one scrapbook containing two unidentified portraits of men and one family photograph, as well as collected correspondence, newspaper clippings and other documents. Content mostly pertains to the deaths of James Frederick Morden, Robert John Kerr and Ovide Smith of Pincher Creek, Alberta while fighting in Honing Spruit, South Africa in 1900 during the Boer War. Contents include condolence letters sent to James Morden's wife, as well as various related newspaper articles and a booklet commemorating the erection of a plaque at Pincher Creek Memorial Hospital in 1902 in their honour. Scrapbook contents also include other obituary articles commemorating James Frederick Morden's father and mother, Albert Milton Morden and Sarah Morden; and Adelaide Maud Hewetson of Pincher Creek.

File pertains to Dorothy's research on Banff and surrounding area, Parks Canada, Department of the Interior, and the history of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in general. Records were filed in an envelope that was titled "Book Notes." Notable people include James Wardle, J.B. Harkin, Pat Brewster, Arthur Unwin, Dr. Brett, Norman Sanson, and Bill Peyto, among others. Notable places and topics include the organization of the Department of the Interior, the Banff-Windemere Highway, Rocky Mountain Park and Park Wardens, Kootenay National Park fires, coal and precious metal mines (e.g. Bankhead, Silver City), trail riding and hiking, research about James Wardle and his accomplishments, Ya-Ha-Tinda, and various parks (e.g. Glacier, Revelstoke, Elk Island, Kootenay, and Yoho). - Book of Common Prayer inscribed with: “Martha Morey, November 4, 1872. New Westminster, BC. From her mother.” It belonged to James Wardle's mother.
- The Pocket Cook Book contains annotations and written notes tucked in among the pages of the book.
- Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies booklets kept because the Wardles participated in trail rides and there are photos/mentions of James and Dorothy, and possibly Leette.
- The "Sir George Simpson Centennial Celebration" booklet contains a photograph print between pages 32 and 33.
- Some of the postcards are annotated on the back, specifically the postcard depicting the Banff Springs Hotel which is addressed to Dorothy.

- Sheila Iris Ritchie was Dorothy's long-term housemate and close friend. Dorothy served as the executor of Sheila's will.
- Dorothy's SIN card was originally included but has since been discarded for privacy concerns.
- Photocopies of the original lease for the property on Muskrat Street were taken from Parks Canada microfiche records in 1993.

- Records in this sub-series consist of family papers and photographs. Sub-series is divided into four sub-sub-series: William Luxton; Sarah Luxton; George Luxton; Louis Luxton:
- William Fisher Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 1 to 9) consists of biographical information on William Luxton; a family tree; personal papers; and correspondence with the Winnipeg Free Press, Donald Smith, and William C. Van Horne.
- Sarah Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 10 to 13) consists of correspondence; a memorial service notice for Ada L. Luxton; poetry by J. Luxton (possibly Sarah Jane Luxton, the mother of Norman K. Luxton); a cemetery register; a life insurance policy draft.
- George Edwards Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 14 to 20) consists of newspaper clippings, literary manuscripts written by George Luxton, letters and receipts relating to the the Lux Theatre in Banff, Alberta, mortgage papers, a press certificate and one photograph accompanying a letter by Harold Malloch Luxton.
- Louis Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 21 to 26) consists of personal and business correspondence,1905-1948 and includes one b&w photograph of Harold Malloch Luxton. Business correspondence includes letters from the Department of Interior - Rocky Mountain Parks and Insurance Companies. Also includes a court summons from the Government of Alberta, 1948. Both the Sarah Luxton and Louis Luxton sub-sub-series contain records transfered from the Glenbow Museum.
