- The Alberta Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star is a charitable foundation based in Alberta which was first formed in 1912. The organization supports various local, national and international causes through fundraising initiatives, and draws inspiration for this work through biblical teachings. Current initiatives as of 2019 include scholarship programs for the University of Lethbridge and the University of Calgary. Membership is restricted to masons by trade [males] and to female spouses or family members of masons.

Content pertains to Valentine's day letters between Eleanor and her parents, Norman and Georgina; a personal greeting card sent from "Aida" [n.d.]; a greeting card titled "To Father" [possibly sent from Eleanor to Norman Luxton]; a letter addressed to Eleanor from Alberta Theatre Projects with a ticket order form for local performances [1973]; a letter from Laura Oakander sent to Eleanor thanking her for a donation to the McDougall Stoney Mission Society [1980]; and invitations to round-up events hosted by the Southern Alberta Pioneers' and Old Timers' Association.

Records include newspaper clippings, typed articles, research, correspondence, and photograph prints. File pertains to Dorothy's freelance research, notes, original writing, and published articles from The Albertan and The Calgary Herald primarily in the 1960s, and short stories for Reader's Digest in 1933-1934. File documents various people, places, and events significant to Banff, including: the old days, Banff Indian Days, Mountain School, Banff Centre, Banff namesake in Scotland, the teahouses at Lake Louise, hot springs, Indigenous regalia and ceremonies, local guides, and Silver City. File also includes personal notes/stories and correspondence between Dorothy and her parents, and several articles from the Banff Crag and Canyon.
