On the top face of the box, there is text that reads, “ASSORTMENT No. 743”; “24 ASSORTED COLORS”; “MONGOL COLORED INDELIBLE EXTRA STRONG THIN LEAD PENCILS”; “CAN BE SHARPENED TO A NEEDLE POINT”; “”PAINT WITH PENCILS” USE BRUSH AND WATER”; “EBERHARD FABER MADE IN U.S.A. TRADE MARKS REG. U.S. PAT OFF. COPYRIGHT, EBERHARD FABER PENCIL CO.” On the top face of the view-left folder within the box, there is text and diagrams describing the technique of painting with pencils; on the top face of the viewer-right folder within the box, there is text that lists the 24 colours contained within the set.Inside the box, contained within the two folders, there are twenty-four assorted coloured pencils, 22 of which are original to the set, and 2 of which are not (b-c).(b) ”CARBON VENUS PENCIL CO.
