- A woman's bathing outfit consisting of a one piece bathing suit and matching, covering shirt, both of light brown simulated bark texture cotton with bold black rectangles with red and white geometric designs inside, spaced evenly around the fabric. (a) swimsuit, wide legged shorts with fitted bodice having elasticized panel on each side and zipper down the back. Neck strap threads through small loop at front centre and is removable, two long loops on inside of each side, for hanging. Fully lined with white cotton, and cotton bloomers, very faded. Label: “The Lahala / Made in Honolulu/ Waikiki/ The Liberty House” (b) shirt, sleeveless with small stand up collar and coconut husk buttons down the front, small stand up collar and coconut husk buttons down the front, small slits at each side, and large pockets at the bottom. Triangular, folded gussets inside form sides when open, lined with dark blue fake leather. (c) brass screening, truncated oblate spherold shape with circular frame supporting shaped brass screening forming body. Hinged at flattened bottom, contains ten Canadian pennies, and one U.S. penny.

- A clothes brush of dark brown ebony with long handle, made of two identically shaped parts which are hinged together at end. Wooden spine is wider at the handle, tapering and slanting downward slightly toward the brush end. Close, dark, natural bristles set into each part of brush, softer and brown in one part, and stiffer and black in other sturdy metal hinge joins handle ends. Brush opens on hinge and each part forms arms of a coathanger which hangs from the long twisted loop of brown cord which passes through a hole in each part of the handle. Three small ivory dots at front of bristle end of each part.

The lid which is hinged at the rear of the case, lifts up and folds to prop a mirror at an angle appropriate for makeup or shaving procedures, and it is lockable. The hardware is of brass. Wide plates forming hinges for the mirror swivel, two carrying handles with rest plate on either side of the case, and light weight cutout brass drawer pulls.
