Description: Colour: blue, green. The lower half is a lake with two people in a canoe right of center. A piece of land with evergreens comes out at the right side. The upper half is a mountain range. At the left side in the distance is another range. Above is clear blue sky.This painting was lent to the Winnipeg Art Gallery in 1975 to be included in the exhibition The Railway: A Patron of the Arts in Canada. The exhibition was circulated accross the country for two years.

Description: A landscape oil painting. In the background is a blue sky with big fluffy white clouds and a mountain range with rolling hills in front. After the hills is a line of forest and in the foreground are two small ponds separated by a thin strip of land with tall grass and the ponds are surrounded by a lone, green pine tree on the left and three golden-leaved poplar trees on the right. The artist signature is painted in the bottom rhc in red, “DUNCAN /81”. Au verso, on the top edge of the canvas in black pen is written, “EARLY AUTUMN, MORLEY, ALBERTA”. On the top left corner of the canvas is written, “2500.00”. In the centre at the bottom of the frame is a white label with blue ink, “Gainsborough Galleries (1974) Ltd.
