- Description
- A sewing basket or bag hand sewn from yellow print cotton. (a) the bag is print of floral bouquets on the outside, plain yellow cotton inside, a disc of card provides a bottom for the basket, and in the middle of it is an attached pin cushion corded to the card. Inside the bag are pockets which lap from the walls of the bag into which tape, buttons, etc., could be placed. Double draw strings can gather the bag to close it. (b) is a needle book of card covered with the same yellow floral print cotton and lined with plain yellow cotton, a cord holding in a piece of flannel into which needles can be placed. Never used, but there are a few pins in the built in pincushion, and a length of white satin ribbon in one of the pockets.
