- Two rectangular wooden “Dunnes Pastel Colour” paint boxes with dovetailed corner joints and grooves along the sides to accommodate sliding covers which are missing. Each box has three decorative grooves around the outside perimeter. a) An open empty box. b) A box compartmented to hold twelve bottles of “Dunne's Pastel Colours” and brushes. The bottles are glass tubes with red lids and have labels indicating the colour inside. One side of the box is missing.

Paper instructions inserted in the frame “THE “CROSS” DRAWING AND PAINTING GLASS FOR PERFECTING VISUAL POWER.” The instructions have Peter White’s signature and address in pencil written across and “STUDENTS, APPLY YOURSELVES” printed in charcoal on the back.
