Topics include day to day life, Banff events, visitis from friends, photography, painting, weather, events and people in Concord, Queen Elizabeth's coronation [June 5, 1953], errand trips to Calgary, the Calgary Stampede, Banff Indian Days, radio programs, going to Edmonton to have a cataract removed from Peter's left eye [they were in Edmonton for 3 weeks], Peter getting his first pair of glasses, recording stories with George McLean, the Hub Cafe on Banff Ave catching fire [November 10], and planning their winter trip to Honolulu, Hawaii.
