The Loyal Orange Lodge was a patriotic, benevolent, Protestant fraternal association. The Banff Lodge was probably established in 1912, the earliest year of membership cited in the records. Members included tradesmen, merchants, clerks and government workers from Banff and until the 1920s, coal miners from Bankhead.
