Beside each pair of pants they are labelled with a number and the type of pants that are drawn. In the BRC it says “AN EVOLUTION IN LEG WEAR COMMONLY KNOWN AS PANTS. GO BY THE NUMBERS”verso: in the BRC there appears to be a sketch of a man signing, above him there are images of two people that have been cut off (making it difficult to tell what they are doing), and “ato min” written.
