- Mount Assiniboine is located along the Continental Divide, in the Rocky Mountains, in British Columbia. It was named in 1885, and it sits on the border of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, B. C. and Banff National Park, AB. In 1925, Lawrence Grassi became the first person to make a solo attempt of the mountain.
