Abstract: Senescence is a meditation on nature and its seasons. The text is a personal account of a year spent in the Bow Valley, Alberta. In the summer; Alhomsi compares a leaf miner's work to the work of echatologists; in the fall, he studies in the relation between texts, land, and bodies; in the winter, he stalks a muskrat and talks to marmots; in spring, he observes a month's metamorphosis and reflects on love.
