- Colour: blue, white. The lower third is snow with a trail going up from the bottom center to the right then left to the center where on either side there are snow laden trees. Four evergreens and one larch on the left and two evergreens and four larch on the right. Beyond is a mountain peak on the left side - the saddle being right of center. There is a cloud resting on the saddle between the two rises. The sky is blue.

The encampment forms a circle in front of the viewer with the teepees at their smallest in the distance in the middle of the painting. The teepees are a variety of colours. In the middle of the painting behind the encampment are green rolling hills and beyond the hills are grey mountains. People are milling about within the encampment. The sky is blue but across the entire top of the painting there are grey clouds.
