- A coastal seascape of Burrard Inlet, BC, shows a floating house or shack in the centre right of the image. It has a railing running around it and a covered porch. A walkway runs from the shore at the bottom of the image to the shack. Part of another shack is cropped at the left of the image. Logs are floating around these buildings. Beyond the buildings is Burrard Inlet on which there are two or three boats. A dock runs out the boats in the upper left corner. Beyond, at the top of the image are Coast mountains, some covered in snow.

- Mountains extend from the left of the painting and then descend down and across to the right of the image. The mountains are a pink-orange colour at the top which gradually changes to deep blue at their bases. In the upper right corner, a break in the mountains affords a view of the sea. More mountains are visible across this water. In the lower left corner there is a rocky outcrop. Palm trees grow amongst the rocks.
