- Description
- A watercolour landscape painting. The painting is of a road winding through a mountain landscape. The image is tall and narrow. In the background there are three mountain peaks. All the mountains have simple outlines that have been done in pencil. The largest of the peaks, on the viewer’s right, has a dark grey-blue wash near the top. The peak on the left in the background has a brown-grey wash. There is a brown-grey road that starts in the brhc and winds to the left, then disappears into the mountains about half way up the painting. Around the image there is a thin pencil line border. Under the image, at centre, is the title written in pencil, “RD MTN TWST”. In the brhc of the paper is the artist signature written in pencil and the year, “Sinclair 78”. Au verso, written in red ink in the top rhc is, “R.S. 666”.
