The Kidney Kabins business was closed when Maud and Forest Kidney sold the property it was on in 1953.

- Sheila Iris Ritchie was Dorothy's long-term housemate and close friend. Dorothy served as the executor of Sheila's will.

- File consists of 25 photographs [most loose, some with matboards/backings, one in book-style folder]. Content pertains mostly to natural landscapes, plants, wildlife, mountain scenes, etc. in the Canadian Rockies. Other photographs pertain to 1912 Banff Midgets hockey team, RCMP officers, Jack Kidney and friends [ca. 1935], Freddie Hare visiting Forest Kidney at Mineral Springs Hospital in 1978, an ice sculpture by Charlie Beil outside of the Mount Royal Hotel, an early elementary school class photograph [ca. 1900?], and Fred Woodworth's World War I memorial in Ypres.
