Both have manufacturer’s stamp on handle: “U.S. TUSA Co. 1917.” a) is charred on the bottom with scratched in initials “E.F.T.” and has typewritten label by Bert’s daughter Doris Burton: “F.H.R.’s earliest camp dishes for 2 to 4 people. 1909 etc.” b) has typewritten label: “One of a set of F.H.R.’s early plate-combinations. 1909 etc.”

Two identical metal saucepans with handles. Depth of the pan is 3.1 cm. Handle is rivetted on to pan with 3 rivets. On the bottom: "No. 3612" Below this is an oval with a circle inside. In the circle is a cross. Sitting on the oval is a monkey with a very long tail which hangs down the left side of the oval, curving around the bottom. Inside the oval following the outline of the cirle, on the top is written the following: "Mono." Below the circle, also curved is the following: "Gram". In script in the middle of the cross in the circle is written: "Alcoa". Below the oval and monkey tail in small block letters is: "Trade Mark Registered - Made in Canada".

VANCOUVER B.C.”. There are two tags attatched to the top of the sack, one that reads “P. White” with the last name spelled incorrectly, and another that reads “If extra bag is needed take this one.” both written by hand. Metal rings and rope sinch the bag at tthe top. The sleeping bag inside is a light brown/off-white colour with a metal zipper. The bag is rolled and being held together by 2 black ties.
