Description
A mountain scene framed on the right by a portion of a rocky mountain which is cropped on the top, right and bottom by the edge of the work. This portion takes up approximately 1/3 of the work lengthwise, and is purple in colour. Sharing the foreground with this large rock are several (5) evergreens. We only see the tips of these trees although the tree on the left side of the picture reaches almost to the lc. A mountain range painted in blue colours is in the background and, and is cropped on the bottom and left by the picture’s border, and on the right side by the rocky mountain side in the foreground. The small amount of visible sky is yellowish in colour.
