- Small pitcher with curly edged rim and small handle, simple geometric designs around body. Iridescent dark brown slip was applied, burnished, and then vessel was tooled to reveal terra cotta clay underneath, then fired. Minor chips in rim. Particles possibly volcanic ash adhered to vessel. Label on bottom in E.S. Morse's handwriting says "Pompeii before A.D. 79".

- (a) trilobite is quite nice, it is on a rock slab 12.4 x 10.8 cm, the trilobite measuring 9.3x4.7 cm, part of the tail is missing.(b) ammonite (9.5x8.7 cm) is actually a shape of an ammonite depressed in a large circular slab of rock measuring 27.0 dia and 2.2 thick.
