- Description
- An ornate rectangular wooden box with a brass diamond engraved with “J.D.C” inset into the top. Border of lighter coloured wood is inset around edge of lid. Brass handle and keyhole on front with a small hook on each side to hold box closed. Inside of lid has engraved border. Bottom of box has two long horizontal segments and 13 short vertical segments - likely for paint tubes. A removable tray with two large and 16 smaller segments sits on top of this. A rectangular palette with round thumb hole sits on top.
