History / Biographical
Keno Balla, 1906-1993, worked in the transportation industry at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Balla was born and educated at Canmore and spent his early years in Bankhead. Balla worked at the Brett Sanitarium in Banff during the early 1920s and then for Brewster Transport at various times between 1925 and 1955, mainly driving tour buses and arranging, selling and dispatching tours. Balla played the trumpet in the Banff Citizens Band, ca.1924, and the Cascade Dance Hall band.
