- Hugh A. Gourlay opened the King Edward Drug Store on Banff Avenue, Banff, Alberta in 1923. The business was later taken over by Ellen C. Gourlay and subsequently incorporated by their son, Frank Gourlay, ca.1965. Frank Gourlay retired in 1991.
