William Copeland McCalla, 1872-1962, was a teacher, amateur botanist and photographer at St. Catharines, Ontario and Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In the summer of 1899, McCalla visited the Canadian Rockies during his first botanical collecting trip.
