History / Biographical
The Sentance family lived at Banff, Alberta, Canada. George Harry Sentance, 1872-1954, and Jessie Dodd Sentance, d.1981, came to Banff in 1914. George Sentance had come to Canada from England in 1904, possibly with his parents, John Finn Sentance, 1841-1926, and Elizabeth Sentance, 1841-1926, who lived at Banff at the time of their deaths. George Sentance initially drove a tally-ho for Brewster Transport, then was employed by the Federal Government until 1951.
