Description
Manufacturer details for tripod.Hard-sided travel case with metal corner brackets and metal reinforcing along all edges; wooden runners along the bottom and front of the case; hinged lid is held closed with three metal clasps along the front [only the centre one locks] and has a leather handle attached with metal loops on top. Remnants of paper adhesive shipping labels on the lid, one CP Rail label displaying Morant’s address remains intact - “TR2” is stenciled on the lid, the right short side, and the back in yellow. The interior is lined with purple fabric and contains several dividers, spacers, and supports to house the tripod and its various parts and to keep them from moving around during transport - two fabric straps to tie the tripod down. The lid is held open at a 90 degree angle by a strip of leather on the right-hand side. The tripod is made up of black cast-iron supported by silver metal legs capped with black rubber stoppers to keep it from sliding. The tripod was possibly used to support studio lights or possibly a large camera.
