Description
Two roughly triangular backrests with sticks, bark removed, held together by woven buckskin thongs. Each rest is edged with red fabric and has a thong at the pointed end for tying to a pole. a) This rest has a braided thong at the pointed end of the rest.b) This rest has two feathers attached at the pointed end. There are two tags attached to this rest: a white one with “Made by George Kaquitts” on one side and “backrests for a teepee” on the reverse, and a yellow tag with “Silas Abraham Aug. 6 1970” on one side and “Flora Rabbitt” on the reverse.
