- Pertains to Dr. Edward Sylvester Morse who travelled to Japan in 1877 and again in 1882, amassing a large collection of Japanese ceramics and other cultural objects. Part of his collection is at the Peabody Museum and the other part was a bequest to his grand-daughter Catharine Robb Whyte which now resides at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.

- A gray watercoloured stone path leads back to a Japanese temple with two levels of curving roof. The path winds through a garden of stone sculptures that stand on pedestals before reaching the temple. The temple is coloured with red on the outside walls and windows are yellow and the sloping roofs are green. A stone wall is to the right of the temple and behind it is a tree trunk painted in brown with two branches in yellow and green. Framing the image to the right is the beginning of a curved gable that enters into the frame but is discontinued.
