Description
A collection of four brooches by Anna Laterman, three enamelled, 1 silver. (a) oval black and white enamel on copper, mostly white shading to black along one side, dark nebula against luminous white on opposite side, enamel crackled. Back enamelled solid black with copper bar holding hinged pin clasp affixed at middle. (b) rectangular black enamel on copper, cloisonne outlined flower stalk with stylized, round blossoms filled in with red, orange and yellow enamel. Back enamelled black, copper bar pin attached as (a) Small copper ring for hanging on back near top. (Marks: scratched into back: “To Catharine/ love Anna 1974”) (c) round pink, red and black enamel on copper disk. Abstract design in red and black cloisonne against pink background. Back enamelled black, pin clasp missing. (d) silver circles, five large, major circles of silver form outline of brooch, with smaller circle motifs playing upon them. Some circles are smooth and shiny, others stippled, and some a combination. Some parts of certain circles defined with niello (darkening), long silver pin spike clasps across back. (Marks: engraved around outline of back: “Made for Catharine with love, 1971/ by Anna Laterman, Canada”)

Description
An office goose neck lamp with green dome shade. Heavy, domed, brass base holds long brass shaft with spiral texture, which is flexible beyond the first 15.4 cm. Brass socket shell at top of shaft has black, flat, turning switch reading "DUNCAN", and holds 40 watt GE "universal appliance" light bulb. Green domed metal shade is aluminum colour inside, and clamps over socket shell by means of circular brass clip device which is riveted to lamp shade through a hole in its side, and is "patented May 10,98" by "Faries Mfg. Co. Decatur, Ill.". Yellow cloth covered power cord is two wires twisted together exiting near the bottom of the shaft, and attached to a round, brown, two-prong outlet plug. Base bottom covered with green felt to prevent scratching.

Description
Sunlamp in black wooden case. (a) sun lamp on a 10 cm. high metal pedestal base, 31cm. rectangular support bar supports the half cylinder reflector and bulb. Bulb is a 15cm. long clear cylinder with mercury in bottom, "Sun Kraft made of quartz" is stamped on bulb. Reflector surrounding the bulb has handle on back for adjusting angle. Reflector contains label assuring C.E.S.A. approval for safety from electric shock & fire hazard but not from physiological effects of radiation from lamp. Black plastic control device timer sits on black metal disc on top of base. Plate contains directions for use, identification as a "cold quartz ultra violet & ozone apparatus" and "C.E.S.A. approval no.6983" "110v. 20W.AC DC pat's pending", two long black wires connect bulb & reflector to base. Electrical wire with plug connected to bottom side of base. Base sits on four small round rubber feet. (b)black textured vinyl (?) covered wood carrying case has black plastic handle, hinged lid 7cm. high. Closes with black metal latch. Sits on four small round rubber feet.
