Description
Grey canvas backpack with leather straps, mounted on metal frame. Four pockets, one on either side and front and a zippered pouch on inside upper flap. Edges of pocket flaps bound by leather. Leather shoulder straps riveted to bottom of frame and buckled to top. Bag closure is thin rope and plastic toggle. Leather inset inside bag: “Bergans Original 39306”. “Mrs P. WHYTE BANFF ALBERTA” is faintly written on the front flap. A red plastic tag that reads “MOUNTAIN TRAVEL USA” “C. WHYTE” on one side and “If Lost Or Found Please Notify MOUNTAIN TRAVEL (USA) 1398 Solano Avenue Albany, California 94706” on the other is attached to the top handle. A fabric label that reads “Bergans ORIGINAL MADE IN OSLO NORWAY” with a drawing of two men is attached to the back of the bag.
