Description
Three wooden boomerangs. The top of each is slightly convex and the bottom surface is flat. One arm of each boomerang is tilted at a slight angle.a) Dark wood with painted aboriginal designs, in brown, black, white and yellow. The designs include geometric designs on the tips and an insect, a person, and a kangaroo. The back is stamped “MADE IN AUSTRALIA BY Bill On--.”b) Dark wood with very detailed painted aboriginal designs on the front in black, red, white and yellow. The painting includes geometric and concentric designs, an emu, a turtle, and two people. At the centre bent it’s marked “from CHERBOURG ABORIGINAL SETTLEMENT 1960. QLD. AUST.” and the back is marked with pen ink “BILL GORHAM.”c) Light and dark wood decorated with a stylized kangaroo on the front in brown, black, yellow and white. “Darwin N.T.” is writtten with marker on the front. The tips are also painted with stripes and wavey lines. There are two illegible stamps on the back.

Description
A flat knife sheath of buckskin with beadwork on front in five different horizontal bands at top, light blue and dark blue diagonal stripes, white with pink vertical stripes, pink and blue diagonal stripes. A curved hanging arch of pink beads over plain buckskin at middle, bottom half completely covered with white beads with blue and green band pattern. A canvas flap follows the curved edge of the sheath and is completely covered with light blue beadwork containing diagonal patterned stripes of green and purple with short fringe of buckskin along outer edge. Bead stitching shows on back side of flap; double slit cut into skin near top on back of sheath.

The scene is of a large expanse of yellow-green praries with mountains in the background and blue sky above with two bison running in opposite directions, one chased by figure on pony with bow and arrow cocked ready to shoot. The work is signed “J.A. Dippie 1902” on the brc. The bone hangs from a chain attached at each side of the top. A paper sticker has been removed from the back with “A/TS HX/” showing beneath.

Single-barreled shotgun with wooden stock and breech carved in one piece. Single trigger protected by flat metal trigger guard activates hammer which is attached to one side of breech. Oval metal button passes through oval metal plate on either side of handgrip beneath barrel. Wooden ramrod held along length of barrel by two metal loops beneath. Deep cross hatching incised into base of wooden stock and handgrip. Marks: metal breech, trigger guard and hammer engraved with curlicue design, flying duck on trigger guard, and 'I. Hollis & Sons, London' on side of breech, along with two flying ducks; "Marshall-Wells Alberta Co Ltd" stamped on top of barrel;Note: plate on left side of breech replaced with crude strip of cast iron, stock broken at trigger and held together by copper wire and buckskin thong.
