Description
Set of shoemaking/repairing tools including 3 shoemaker’s hammers, a boot last, an awl and a tin box of climbing boot nails. Hammer a) has a metal head and wooden handle, head is stamped: “SAM. KUENZS. BERN”; b) shoemaker’s hammer with metal head and wooden handle, manufacturer’s name stamped on side of head is illegible; c) shoemaker’s hammer with metal head and wooden handle, head stamped: “C.B. 22”; d) iron boot last, appears to be hand-forged, with spiked bottom to hammer into tree stump; e) sewing awl with wooden handle; f) rectangular tin with lid containing climbing boot nails, lid of tin marked “ GALLAHER’S” and strip of masking tape with handwriting: “SWISS NAILS, ON CLIMBING SHOES. ERNEST”. Some nails stamped: “BLAKEY.”
