A bound-edge flip-book style album, it is tied together with a black string and has a faded gilt "Photographs" embossed in the top left corner of the front cover. Additionally, a small white paper with "W" is adhered to the top right corner and a piece of a lined paper is adhered to the centre with the album's title - this piece is torn through the middle but, as per the title page, the album is titled "Canadian Souvenirs Vol. II."

- Item consists of one 16 mm motion picture pertaining to a miscellaneous collection of clips edited together of avalanche control operations in Glacier National Park, as well as shots of trains going into and coming out of the Connaught Tunnel. Also includes shots of the remnants of a snow shed, men skiing, and [presumably the same] men conducting expirments and taking readings on the snowpack. The original label on the case reads "Title Glacier Park BC Avalanche Control, Date 1959-1960, Camera B. Engler, Footage Color, Note: Leftover from Film Editing." An additional note included in the case [appears to be a photocopy of the orginal] includes: "Snow pit test Noel Gardner, old CP Roundhouse ruin, West entrance of Connought Tunnel, Train in and out of tunnel. Remarks: This is of short cuts taped together, can no be projected mostly short cuts."

Reel 2 includes shots of a boat docking, street scenes [presumably Dawson City], and a train ride along the White Pass to Whitehorse - scenes here also include people getting on/off the train, scenic views from along the tracks, river boats, the interior of train cars, and arriving in Whitehorse. - Also known as "Arctic Rampage," directed by Peter Hunt in 1981 and starred Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, and Angie Dickinson. Loosely based on the true-life story of Albert Johnson (The Mad Trapper of Rat River) who was pursued by the Mounted Police in the Northwest Territories and Yukon after shooting a police constable in 1932. Filmed entirely in the Canmore/Spray Lakes area, apart from one scene at the Athabasca Glacier, Jasper National Park. "Death Hunt" was the first film to use Canmore and the Spray Valley as primary set locations, and many locals were recruited as extras. Additionally, dog teams were brought from throughout Alberta for Mad Trapper pursuit scenes on the Spray Lakes Reservoir. Mountaineer and Association of Canadian Mountain Guide Tim Auger stood in as a body double for Bronson for some scenes.
