A bound-edge flip-book style album, it is tied together with a black string and has a faded gilt "Photographs" embossed in the top left corner of the front cover. Additionally, a small white paper with "W" is adhered to the top right corner and a piece of a lined paper is adhered to the centre with the album's title - this piece is torn through the middle but, as per the title page, the album is titled "Canadian Souvenirs Vol. II."

- History / Biographical
- Wilfred Langdon Kihn (1898-1957) was an American artist born in Brooklyn, New York. Kihn was best known for his illustrated portraits of American and Canadian Indigenous people, including members of the Blackfoot, Navajo, Pueblo and Tsimshian communities. The individuals in Kihn's portraits were most often depicted wearing traditional and ceremonial clothing rather than their typical clothes. Kihn's art career began in 1919 when he travelled to Montana and created some of his earliest portraits while visiting the Blackfeet Reservation. Throughout the 1920s, Kihn travelled extensively in Canada and the United States, creating portraits of individuals from a diverse range of Indigenous communities. Many of these portraits were put on display as part of a travelling exhibition organized by the Brooklyn Museum. In 1935, Kihn was commissioned by National Geographic to produce Indigenous portraits for publications; this ultimately led to a two-decade career with National Geographic.

In the blue banner with a black border in white text reads “No. 4 FOR EXTREMELY FLAT NEGATIVES”. There is a stamped text that reads “EXPIRES JULY 1, 1922”. The bottom part of the label that is on the bottom of the box reads “500 POST CARDS AZO F No. 4 GLOSSY DOUBLE WEIGHT”. The bottom of the box features so handwriting and a stamped text that reads “5510 7034 46”. Inside the box is lots of post card photographic paper, some is wrapped in black paper.
