Description
Oil portrait of a man from the waist up with short brown/black hair and fair skin in profile view. The man is seated against a background that is split vertically off center to the right; the left side, which is larger, is a deep brown/green colour, while the right side, which is smaller, contains a deep purple colour. The man is wearing a dark, presumably black garment, with a small white collar popping through at the neck. His skin is mostly fair, while his nose, lips, and ears are pink in colour. There are a series of small marks in the bottom left corner in varying shades of red, yellow ochre and brown. The bottom edge is unfinished, revealing the marks of the paintbrush over the raw canvas below.
