A book of photographic blotter paper. The front is beige in colour with labels and designs. In the top right corner and bottom left corner is a plaid like design, from left to the center is a oval with “Crystal-Brite” in a cursive font and illustration of a book (?). In the top left corner it reads “PHOTOGRAPHIC BLOTTER BOOK” and in the bottom right corner in a text box it reads “DIRECTIONS FOR USE Place the washed prints face down on the Blotting Paper and remove excess water by passing print roller over them slightly. Then turn print over with picture side to waxed paper. Put book in warm place with some weight on it and allow to dry. Avoid too much weight or heat. MANUFACTURED BY DAVID SPECIALTY CO. CHICAGO”. Inside there is one sheet of loose thick paper folded, the rest of the paper is alternating between paper and waxed paper.

The front panel folds down and has the option to extend beyond 90 degrees - the lens plate mount slides out on tracks and can be adjusted by two gears, extending the bellows. The camera has a Technika Xenar 1:4,5 / 150 lens mounted. The back of the camera also folds down to show the exposure plate inside the main compartment - on the panel that folds down is some kind of leather hood and a depth of field table printed onto the panel. The main compartment of the camera has a leather handle on the left-hand side, a view-finder and mount for a flash on the right-hand side, another attachment mount and a circular level on the top, and a hole in the bottom where it can be fixed to a tripod - there is a second tripod mount in the front panel.

Black hard leather carry case with silver corner protectors and tarnished silver buckles and lock. The exterior of the case has remnants of shipping labels (and possibly other stickers) as well as painted red squares (approx. 7.5x6.5 cm) throughout the front and side panels - remnants of some large red label remains on the lid. The side opposite the handle has 2 (two) parallel pieces of wood nailed on horizontally. The handle is wrapped entirely in black electrical tape, leaving the metal hoops exposed - hanging from both metal hoops are the strings and tops of various “CP Rail” shipping tags, as well as a large tag reading “MORANT COLLECTION J-8 ‘Long Takumar Lens for 6x7 work, 600 mm’ 1 of 2” written on it in black ink and attached with a plastic loop.The interior of the case is lined with black paper and contains several pieces of thick white foam along the sides and bottom. Also inside the case is a dual-sided weight that looks homemade, possibly filled with sand, as well as a purple Crown Royal bag containing several small pieces of photography equipment and tools. A manufacturer label inside the lid reads “G.R. TAYLOR LTD. TRUNKS AND SAMPLE CASES WINNIPEG” - no information about the manufacturer found online.
