Description: A landscape oil painting of Mount Eisenhower. A mountain, that is positioned to the left on the canvas, dominates the painting. The sky in the background has heavy dark grey clouds and a mountain range can be seen at right. In front of Mount Eisenhower are green hills and in the foreground a dark shadow runs across the bottom of the painting. The artists signature is painted in white in the bottom rhc, “Rayner”. The colour palette consists primarily of dark grey, green and blue and the brush strokes and loose and visible. Au verso, right of centre at the top written in black marker is, “ MT. EISEHAUR (sic) ELONGATED 1950-BANFF”.

The foreground, which covers two thirds of picture is rolling benchlands down to a river shown at middle right, many bison are seen in the distance in valley bottom and on the hills. Mountains on horizon to the right. The sky is blue with tinges of white and green. A plaque is attached to the frame: To Chief Walking Buffalo who has bravely fought to bring the right spirit to the people of Canada and the world from his friends commemorating his 91st birthday March 20, 1962.
