- An irregularly shaped vessel with various coloured clays juxtaposed to resemble land formations, sweeping upwards to approximately mid way. Lip is cut away to alter round shape. Also bottom edge is cut away in two places. Composed of 3 stoneware clays and porcelain - laminated, thrown and altered, glazed with a traditional Celedone glaze, fired in reduction cone 9. Post firing sand blasting with silver amalgam added in lamination separations to conclude the work in keeping with historical ceramic traditions.

In the upper half of the sketch, a few small branches, with brushstrokes indicating groups of yellow needles, are growing from the tree's trunk. In the middleground are groups of younger (smaller) yellow trees, with tall dark green evergreens behind them. Beyond the trees is a flat area coloured tan-green.
