- Traditional Japanese house model. 2 storey wood construction which disassembles into 10 pieces. The rectangular base is raised slightly above ground level by a narrower under base. 12 wood and paper, and 2 wooden lattice work sliding panels open up to verandas on each level, front and back. 1 hinged door of wood and paper in front, roof is peaked with exterior ride pole and no decoration. The 2 sides of the roof are held together by a piece of tape which acts like a hinge. Inside a raised platform spans the width and 3/4 the length of the main floor. The second floor is made from a single thin slab of wood. "Made in Japan" is stamped onto tape on roof, both bases, the second floor, the front and back walls and the free standing partition. Upper middle class house for family of 4 or 8. Upstairs, sleeping quarters, 6 or 4 separate rooms divided by sliding, removable) doors, 2 rooms used for sleeping , 2 or 3 per room. 1 room reserved for special living room ? with "Tokono-Ma". where hanging scroll hangs, and where flower arrangement is weekly changed. 1 room used for Buddhism altar. 6 feet high, 2 1/2 feet wide. with ancestors after death names, etc. Altar flower is changed every week. Steamed rise is presented every morning. Any special gift, especially food, cakes, cookis, etc. is placed in front of this altar before anyone unwraps it. Those 2 rods are used for overnight company with the best hudon and so forth. All the rooms could be turned into one large banquet room. Downstairs, 2 rooms , on the floor, and kitchen on the dirt floor? 1 room , living room and eating room, during the day, sleeping room for a couple during the night? 1 room, further from the main road and the better room during the day, sleeping room during the night?

- Japanese dresser, rectangular shaped dresser with three drawers, 4.11 x 1.9h x 4.1w, arranged one on top of the other on the upper left hand side of the dresser, each drawer pulls out. Beside the drawers on the right hand side of the dresser is a picture framed in wood, 6.4h x 4.9w , design is two pink flowers on gold coloured stems on green triangular background, 4.0h, the remainder of the design area is filled with white circles painted onto red leaves on an orange background. Pull out drawer at bottom of dresser, 2.5h x 4.01 x 9.7w. Front of drawer has scroll shaped cutout framing plastic covered picture of one pink flower with gold coloured leaves on green background to right of picture and white circles painted onto red leaves on orange background to left of picture. Back of dresser has a round hole, 1.5 dia, 1.9 from bottom to push out bottom drawer.

- Japanese food storage cupboard. Rectangular shaped cupboard, solid wood back and top with wood grid sides and front. Wooden grid sides are immovable, 7.1h x 4.5w, and has wooden frame, 0.5w. Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. The left handed one is set lower then the other, 3.2 from bottom, flush to the left side grid. The right handed one is set higher then the other, 6.0 from the bottom, flush to the right side grid.

- A very thin knife with ebony handle like rifle butt and wooden scabbard wrapped with bands of black cord. (a) dirk, short, narrow, pointed steel blade with reverse curve to sharp shoulder on under side of hilt. Small carved ebony handle shaped like a rifle butt, with carved band of scallops and diamond shapes around middle. Two decorative notches carved across butt of handle. Note: handle checked along length. (b) scabbard, small, simple and straight, carved of two pieces of wood with triangular opening at mouth. Top carved to curve downward on one side to accommodate shoulder of blade. Girded with four double bands of finely braided cord, evenly spaced along length, and a fifth triple band at top beneath shoulder. Note: top fibre hands loose and slide up and down.
