Small spherical pot with short neck including spout. Handled lid and flat handle wrapped in woven fibre. Ridge around girth and vertically through spout and handle. Lid has long, cylindrical stopper with a gap in it which turns within pot rim to alternately pour or stop spillage. Affixed shield on exterior says "Guernsey" and shows three lions in stride. Base stamped "England" plus a lion hallmark and one other resembling floral arrangement . Silverplate over copper. Wear is visible on cover.

Spherical pot with short neck and pouring lip, rounded metal loop handle on lid. Handle on pot is flat with gripping area widening and entire handle wrapped in woven fibre. Ridge around girth of pot, lid has deep, cylindrical stopper with a gap in it which turns within pot rim to alternately pour or stop spillage and also retain heat within pot. Stamped on bottom inside separate rectangles "EPNS" and three hallmarks - a cross, a crown and a nine within a crest, also "L?.B.S.Co.1119".

Description
Unusual, squat coffee or hot-liquid pot. Open scroll base collar may function as built in trivet or space for burner. Main body slopes up and out to shoulder ridge. Shoulder has rounded slope towards pot rim over which lid rests. Pot sides plain brass but shoulders stippled dotted. Two upright brackets on shoulder hold single, flat, swivel handle which has been riveted with copper. Faceted spout has wing like decoration on top. Lid decorated with concentric dotted design and top knob. Chain leads from knob to brass loop on pot exterior but chain link has broken from loop end, previously mended pot, corrosion hole through pot chamber near base and at rim, lid rim corroded, has cause holes and rim breakdown, because of open areas mentioned, and, interior rusting is a nonfunctional piece now.
