Base folds flat up against back of lantern, sides collapse flat and fold to width of one side, lid folds flat and over sides to make compact (18 x 11 x 2 cm.) case. - Two metal Miller Lock Co. padlocks, one larger than the other, and three pieces of metal that serve an unknown purpose. The larger lock has the manufacturer details engraved along the curved arm, “MILLER” engraved in a decorative scroll on the body above the key hole, and “EIGHT LEVER” engraved below the key hole. The smaller lock has “MILLER” in a decorative scroll and “3-LEVER” engraved above the key hole. Both locks have several brass studs throughout the fronts and backs. The three extra metal pieces all have small holes drilled in them, two are longer and tapered at one end and curve in a semi-circle, the third is mostly flat with the two long sides folded up and towards the center and has a small hook at one short end.

- Four triangular patches and one souvenir booklet of members of the Everest 82 support staff. The booklet is folded in half and depicts a picture of Everest on the front with with Tibetan script above it and a dragon logo with “EVEREST LIGHT” below. Inside are pictures of the support staff with their names and roles, all but three have been signed by the members. One of the patches (b) is a white triangle with the same dragon logo as the booklet and “EVEREST LIGHT” embroidered in red, red embroidering also borders the patch. The remaining patches (c-e) are white with grey and red “EVEREST 82” logos - d is fabric with embroidered logo and border and c & e are vinyl.

- A white (appears to be handmade) christening outfit consisting of three pieces:(a) a long white cotton gown, 63.0cmx 61.0 wide from sleeve ends, 21.0cm wide at the shoulders, lace around the neck and sleeve cuffs, embroidered eyelets on cotton backing on the yoke, plain white cotton skirt gathered from the yoke below a 0.70cm embroidered ridge, embroidered eyelets above the turned hem and binding on the seams. There are three mother-of-pearl buttons with corresponding buttonholes on the back of the gown and the neck and cuffs are lace trimmed.(b) a short white gown made out of finer cotton, completely hand sewn, very delicate stitching 54.0cmx26.0 wide across the shoulders, 72.0cm wide from cuff to cuff. Lace around the neck and cuffs, delicate veritical fold overs in groups of four stitched down across the front of yoke, gathered underneath, the bottom has twelve horizontal fold overs sewn down above the hem. The back of the yoke has a cotton twill tie on the neck and below that one mother-of-pearl button, viewer’s left, button hole viewer’s right, on either side of the opening six vertical sewn-down fold overs. At the top of the neck opening, back of the gown, on the same side as the button there is stitching with dark pink thread.(c) a white flannel cotton undershirt, (hand sewn), 50cm (86cm with tie) x 14cm wide, stitched around the outside, slit (7cmx 1.5cm wide) on viewer’s left side, 36cmx1.5 wide cotton twill tie viewer’s right, 9cmx1.5cm wide cotton twill sewn on to make loops for a baby’s arms to go through.

Each piece has a multi-coloured (white, blue , green, yellow red and white) shield made up of the provinces’ coat of arms, underneath that, a ribbon with the word “CANADA” and underneath “BANFF”. On the top of the shield is a royal crown. Each piece has an identification number in green on the bottom.
