In the middleground and to the viewer’s right, two dogs play. The horizon line is punctuated by simply-rendered figures and umbrellas of orange, white and teal. There appears to be a wave or mountain on the far left horizon. The sky is coloured in a blue wash, which is more intense at the top, but thins out as it approaches the horizon line. The larger drawing on the left is of a caricature of a Japanese person. His eyes are severely slanted and head and facial hair is spiked.
