A bound-edge flip-book style album, it is tied together with a black string and has a faded gilt "Photographs" embossed in the top left corner of the front cover. Additionally, a small white paper with "W" is adhered to the top right corner and a piece of a lined paper is adhered to the centre with the album's title - this piece is torn through the middle but, as per the title page, the album is titled "Canadian Souvenirs Vol. II."

Also includes shots of the remnants of a snow shed, men skiing, and [presumably the same] men conducting expirments and taking readings on the snowpack. The original label on the case reads "Title Glacier Park BC Avalanche Control, Date 1959-1960, Camera B. Engler, Footage Color, Note: Leftover from Film Editing." An additional note included in the case [appears to be a photocopy of the orginal] includes: "Snow pit test Noel Gardner, old CP Roundhouse ruin, West entrance of Connought Tunnel, Train in and out of tunnel. Remarks: This is of short cuts taped together, can no be projected mostly short cuts."

NF - 28b is a copy of NF- 28a. Also includes two documents: two copies of a press release for the film, produced by the National Film Board. During the Great Depression, a young tomboy runs away from her Chicago guardian to join her father, who is working in a Pacific Northwest lumber camp. Riding the rails west, she teams up with tough, young hobos and a protective wolf. Location filming near the Crowsnest Pass and at Fort Steele Historic Park for the steam engine scenes, as well as the lower mainland region of British Columbia.
