- Custom red brown camera case containing a camera, recorder, and various equipment and accessories.a) Red brown suitcase that has been customized to carry cameras and their equipment. The outside has reinforced leather corners and silver hardware. The outside has the initials “J. R. G.” on the top and bottom sides, as well as under the handle. Inside, the case has a brown plaid lining. The bottom of the case has been fitted with a custom made wood, cream coloured apparatus that is designed to hold (c). It comes apart into two pieces - the base, which is not removable, and the lid, which slides out to the right once it has been unhooked from the latch built into the base n the left hand side. The lid of the suitcase reads “J. R. GRICE / 9920 - 75 ST / EDMONTON / ALBERTA”. The foam on the apparatus has worn off, leaving black dust like particles in the suitcase. There are a set of two keys hanging from a brown strap connecting the lid to the base in the center of the suitcase.b) Silver and black camera in a brown leather case. The camera is secured in the case with a wide, flat screw at the base. The camera also comes with its original document outlining the features and instructions of the camera. The camera itself is a Olympus Chrome Six. According to the document, the camera was used to produce “ (12) 6x6cm photos or (16) 4.5x6cm photos on a roll of 120 film”. The camera is black leather with a silver body. There are two silver knobs on the base. The top has four knobs, a viewfinder, and a mount for flash. The smallest knob next to the viewfinder is used to release the lens, which opens from a square panel in the front. The lens is a coated Olympus Zuiko lens. The brown case is Olympus brand and is custom fitted to the camera model. It opens from the top and has two snaps that secure it to the base of the case. A small flap can be opened to allow the camera to be used while remaining in the case. The strap that connects the top of the case to the bottom reads “J. R. GRICE / 9920 - 75 ST / EDMONTON / ALBERTA”. There is a short, thin strap that attaches to either side of the case by metal hardware - one side is broken, the leather has split. The case shows some wear - the connecting middle strap has a large horizontal tear at the seam, while the lens flap has a smaller horizontal tear on the right hand side. c) Green, silver and black recorder that has a strap, brown cloth case and spare reel. The brand on the case, recorder and strap is labeled as Sankyo. The recorder is a muted green colour, with black and silver components. It has three lenses on the front with metal lens caps, The viewfinder is clear. The strap is made of silver components and brown braided cord. The case is brown cloth with a gold zipper, with Sankyo Japan embossed on the side. The reel is made of grey plastic and branded as Kodak, but is believed to work with the recorder. d) Black and white stop watch on a red cord. Was likely used to time exposure times. e) Viewfinder in its original box. Brand is “Watameter”.f) Light meter on a silver snake-chain in its original box. Still operable.g) Blower brush in its original box. h) Handmade camera mount made from wood with attached trigger. There is also a spare trigger wire. i) Film reel it its original box. Reel is empty.j) Bag of miscellaneous bulbs, two of which are for a Sylvanus projector. One is brand new in box. k) Red cloth bag. Front reads “BeautifFeel / Design that feels good” while the bottom says “every woman deserves a pair”l) Miscellaneous papers detailing movie film features and instructions. Have been folded, so they are creased.

- A set of 5 film holders, 3 identical and the other 2 different. a - c) Three silver metal film holders or double dark slides. Three out of the four edges of the frame are silver with the top of the holders black. The flat handles to the slides alternate on the side and are secured with a piece of copper metal that when pushed against the handle allows for the slide to be moved. On the side of the plate facing outwards, on both slides, is text that reads “PLATE” “LENS” “STOP” “EXPOSURE” “LIGHT” and “SUBJECT”. On the top of the black part of the holder, on each side, is a number stamped. Across all three slides, they are numbered 1-6. b) and c) feature some pencil markings along the exterior of the slide, mostly illegible, but some read “Exposed” “Banff” “Mt. Rundle”.d) An all black film holder. The slide handles are thin metal rods in the middle of the holder. On either side of the top of the holder are stickers, in handwriting one side reads “3” and the other “4”. One the side that has the “3” sticker, along the edges is stamped text which reads “3 1/4 x 4 1/4 GRAFLEX FILM S. PAT 2056144” “MADE IN U.S.A. BY GRAFLEX INC ROCHESTER, N.J.”15.4 x 10.1 x 1.3 cm.e) A film-pack holder with a film pack still in it. Slightly heavier than the other four, this holder features a metal frame with three silver edges on on side. One slide with a black flat handle and is thin. The other side of the holder is a slightly smaller silver metal box that holds the film pack and protrudes outwards slightly. At the top of this box there is black tabs for the film. The tab is black with red writing, along the tab it reads “Pull the Tab Straight Until Red”, a red arrow point towards the top of the tab, “Cross Line Appears; then tear off”, “CANADIAN KODAK DO. LIMITED” in a pointed oval “SAFETY COVER”, “TORONTO, CAN.” 16.8 x 11.2 x 1.8 cm.

Then turn print over with picture side to waxed paper. Put book in warm place with some weight on it and allow to dry. Avoid too much weight or heat. MANUFACTURED BY DAVID SPECIALTY CO. CHICAGO”. Inside there is one sheet of loose thick paper folded, the rest of the paper is alternating between paper and waxed paper.

On the bottom of the where the film canister is loaded is a box with text inside, it reads “COMPUTROL 35 mm film loader RESTEM Ltd. T.A. Made in Israel”. There is an instruction manual with the film loader which features lots of text, sketches of the loader, and diagrams of use.

- Black hard leather carry case with silver corner protectors and tarnished silver buckles and lock. The exterior of the case has remnants of shipping labels (and possibly other stickers) as well as painted red squares (approx. 7.5x6.5 cm) throughout the front and side panels - remnants of some large red label remains on the lid. The side opposite the handle has 2 (two) parallel pieces of wood nailed on horizontally. The handle is wrapped entirely in black electrical tape, leaving the metal hoops exposed - hanging from both metal hoops are the strings and tops of various “CP Rail” shipping tags, as well as a large tag reading “MORANT COLLECTION J-8 ‘Long Takumar Lens for 6x7 work, 600 mm’ 1 of 2” written on it in black ink and attached with a plastic loop.The interior of the case is lined with black paper and contains several pieces of thick white foam along the sides and bottom. Also inside the case is a dual-sided weight that looks homemade, possibly filled with sand, as well as a purple Crown Royal bag containing several small pieces of photography equipment and tools. A manufacturer label inside the lid reads “G.R. TAYLOR LTD. TRUNKS AND SAMPLE CASES WINNIPEG” - no information about the manufacturer found online.

- Brown hard-sided travel case with metal caps on the corners, reinforcing along all edges, wooden runners parallel horizontally along the long sides of the case, and hinged lid with three metal clasps - the centre one has a keyhole. The interior of the case is divided into five compartments, the largest centre one has a false bottom accessed by a leather pull tab. There is a square of padding set into the centre of the lid, three equipment manuals are tucked into the right-hand side and the paper one is stuck. Inside the box is a 19.6x24.0x27.1 cm black box with a brown leather strap attached to the sides, a black leather handle on the lid, and a locking metal clasp on the hinged lid. This box is lined with blue velvet and contains various small pieces of camera equipment. Includes: power cord in a yellow fabric bag, micro screwdrivers in a yellow fabric bag, a metal and wood bracket in a white fabric bag, a “BRAUN” digital flash in a yellow fabric bag, an empty blue fabric bag, four metal Agfa film canisters (empty), assorted spacers and brackets, two keys (one in a paper envelope labelled “CASE KEY” in black ink), and various manuals in a plastic sleeve. Also inside the main case are two hard black lens cases - the larger one has a piece of masking tape on the bottom with “400” written in faded black ink and the smaller one has a piece of masking tape on the lid with “200” written in black ink - a metal and wood handle, a circular black plastic case with a black plastic lens cap inside, and a yellow filter in a clear plastic case. Both lens cases manufactured by “ASAHI OPT CO. JAPAN” as noted on the bottoms.

- Hard-sided black carry case with a hinged lid and unlined wooden interior. All corners are capped with metal, mostly rusted - three metal latches are also extensively rusted (the centre one is a lock latch). Running along the length of the lid and the bottom of the case are two parallel wooden runners. Also on the lid is a hard leather handle attached to the lid with metal loops - attached to both handle loops are several remnants of paper tags and a leather travel tag with a clear plastic window. Visible through the window is a stained paper tag that reads “N Morant Special Photographer Public Relations and Advertising Canadian Pacific Banff, Alberta.” Inside the lid is a “NATIONAL FILM BOARD OF CANADA Exposed Negative” card depicting a woman in a pale green bikini. Drawn on the inside of the lid in black, yellow, and red is a caricature of a face with a thought bubble that reads “AUNT MARTHA LIKES THIS ONE.” The exterior of the case is covered in faded and torn travel stickers and labels, there is also “D7” spray painted in yellow on the lid under the handle, on both short sides, and on the back. Inside the case are three black “KODAK HARD RUBBER TANK 4x5” containers. In one tank are two cardboard boxes - one is green and contains an Eastman timer and the other is a yellow “EASTMAN THERMOMETER” box with the thermometer inside. The second tank contains two circular metal supports for developing rolls of film negatives, a white metal Kodak film canister (empty), and a blue cardboard box with another metal film processor inside. The third tank contains a cylindrical container that has something inside of it, but it does not open.
