Description
A collection of nine rocks. 2 crystallized rocks: a) 19cm x 10cm x 6 cm - white, quartz-like, sharp-edged with yellow-brown dirt in crevices; covered with large clear hexagonal crystal prisms which are very pronounced and clustered on one face. b) 19cm x 12cm x 5cm - quartz like (calcite on dolomite?), with yellow and dark grey lichen covering small clear crystals on one side; other side has small hollow filled with crystals 1 iron pyrite: c) 5cm x 4 cm x 1cm - small, flat, quartz-like surface exposed between large patches of sparkly yellow ‘fool’s gold’. 3 quartz-like: d) 11cm x 9cm x 6cm - large, naturally rounded cobble of hard white quartz veined with orangee) 22cm x 9cm x 7cm - large, jagged greenish-white; talc-like with greyish-white colouring evident in middle; very soft becoming vey hard and shiny in places (marble?)f) 6.5cm x 5cm x 2cm - small, sharp-edged, white; soft (talc?) with small scratched grooves on top. 1 sedimentary concretion:g) 13cm x 5 cm x 2cm - flat, light grey, smooth (natural clay?) concreting shaped like elongated, open-mouthed rabbit complete with front paws and tail; layers of sedimentation can be seen on one side. 2 sliced rocks: h) 13 cm x 9cm x 4cm - roughly triangular shape; banded around on sliced, flat, cut and polished surface with grey and orange stripesi) 7cm x 3.5 cm x 7cm - deep green flare rectangular lice of rock smoothly polished on flat surfaces and slightly marbled.
