Description
Skeleton of revolver. Handle, hammer and cylinder missing, barrel broken at end. Accompanied by papers, yellow with CRW writing: “Old Navy Cap and Ball Revolver 36 Calibre a 6 shooter Whitney Whitneyville, Conn. 1850 - 1860. Found by Larry, son of Archie Daniels in remians of a cabin in Kananaskis Valley above lakes. Found in 1975.” and a white paper with “Dr. Pactos; Thankyou for your trouble. I think it is a Stan Arms Co. .44 made in new York around the 1850s would be interested in how close I came. Again Thanks John M” along with “Whitney, .36 Calibre Navy Cap & Ball 1850-60.”

Description
Small round deep-sided decorative ceramic dish with blue and gilded gold stripes around the rim and a picture of a portly bald man wearing purple pants and a green coat with one hand raised in a room with a table, chairs, and windows behind him - printed at the bottom is “MR PICKWICK” and “BANFF” has been written above that in gold ink. A makers mark is stamped on the bottom - online research shows this image was a popular motif with Grimwades in the mid-1900s as Mr Pickwick was the main character of Charles Dickens’ first novel, “The Pickwick Papers.”

A brass skimmer with a long flat handle with a cut-out trefoil design at the end. The handle opens into diamond shape and triangle shape just above where the bowl of the skimmer attaches to the handle with two copper rivets. The skimmer bowl is slightly cupped, large and wide, and is completely pierced with round holes following the shape of the skimmer.
