- A charcoal drawing of a woman lying on a bed with bent knees and her head on a pillow. On viewer’s left the woman has her right arm raised with her hand on her cheek. The drawing is done on a piece of hotel stationery: stamped logo hotel left-hand corner with “COVERS AN ENTIRE BLOCK” printed underneath, right-hand corner “ONE OF AMERICA’S EXCEPTIONAL HOTELS, DAVENPORT HOTEL, LOUIE M. DAVENPORT, PRESIDENT” underneath “SPOKANE, WASHINGTON”. Written in pen mid-to-right hand side under drawing “1931 Spokane, Wash. Sketch by Nicholas de Grandmaison on our honeymoon in Spokane Wash.”
