Jim Thorsell, b.1940, is a conservationist who has worked at Edmonton, Alberta, Vancouver, B.C. and Geneva, Switzerland. Thorsell is a former owner of Storm Mountain Lodge in Banff National Park.
Scope & Content
Fonds consists of correspondence, transcript and list, 1967-1970, pertaining to the Sierra Club, the Alpine Club of Canada clubhouse, Banff local government, vascular plants in mountain national parks, and Village Lake Louise. Also includes placemat for Storm Mountain Lodge with text by Thorsell, 1976, original, 2 copies; and report on beaver distribution in the Bow Valley by H. V. Green, 1947. Fonds includes two photograph prints depicting Jim Thorsell and Catharine Robb-Whyte during a trip to Haida Gwaii, British Columbia (ca.1970).
