Description
Paper cover of The Canadian Graphic Art Year Book for the year 1931. Published by The Ryerson Press, Toronto and printed in Canada. One sleeve/page is loose inside the cover. The print MlT.04.04 (a) was likely attached to this page at one time. CATHEDRAL MOUNTAIN/TW McLean is printed on the bottom right corner of the page. On the inside of the back page of the cover is a small print by David M. Battersby called CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGN and features two boys dragging trees behind them. There are math equations on the back of the cover done in pencil.(b) Given to archives February 8, 2017

Description
Woodblock print of Cathedral Mountain. The sky is bright yellow and is reflected in a lake at the bottom of the print. Cathedral Mountain is a hazy blue and in the distance. Dark blue, silhouetted trees at the middle of the print surround a lake that is in the immediate foreground. A brown log lies horizontally at the edge of the lake in front of the trees. Several brown rocks are poking up out of the lake.

Description
A woodblock print of Lake O’Hara from an elevated perspective. The shapes of the landscape are quite simple and almost geometric. In the bottom corners there are tan and green boulders outlined in dark blue. A spiney blue tree grows out of the boulders in the bottom left corner. The sloping sides of the mountains in the centre are a patchwork of colours - yellow, green, orange and blue. The blue and orange side of a mountain is on the right hand side of the print.

Mt. Schaffer at the centre of the image. The mountain is dark purple-blue and gray. The top of the mountain appears to form a bowl. Sunlight illuminates the part of this bowl that is visible. At the base of the mountain, a river or stream runs across the painting. A sloping flat area below the river is sand coloured on the left and dark blue-grey on the right. In the foreground at the bottom of the image, there is a rocky area. Patches of green vegetation are interspersed amongst the rock. The sky is blue with white clouds in it. Description
Woodblock print of mountain Lake O’Hara from the edge of the water. At the bottom of the print in the foreground on the left hand side is the shore of the lake. It is green with a small tan area. Dark blue cracks appear in it. In to the centre and extending into the bottom right corner is the light green lake. The rocky, tan slope of a mountain begins on the opposite side of the lake but its height is cropped by the top of the print. Dark shadows are cast on the lake.

Description
The whole image has a lot of blue in it for color. In the foreground and to the bl is the lightest blue section of the painting. Above that is a section of landscape medium to light blue in color. The middle ground is the green blue part of the painted landscape. The mountains in the distance are blue and the sky above is blue with white and grey clouds. The paint has been applied very thick therefor there is a heavy texture throughout.
