- File consists of 10 photographic prints, (9 mounted and 1 loose, 8 b&w and 2 colour). Content includes multiple Canadian scenic photographs, (ships, winter scenes, landscapes), a gag photo of Nicholas Morant and another unidentified man titled 'Onions', a view of a village, possibly in Peru, depicting a person with a donkey travelling down a dirt road, and a gag photo of Morant wearing glasses and a hat (with caption "The Author (as a young man)" written on the back). Many of the prints in this file were taken early in Nicholas Morant's career (ca. 1936 - 1940), and most are dated and signed by Morant. One attributed to 'Associated Screen News', creator unknown.

- Some of these photographs may have been published and used for professional purposes following their creation. However, the specific copies of the photographs contained within this file were used by Nicholas Morant for personal display, and therefore have been categorized as personal photography. Each print within this file was originally framed, and recently removed due to storage and conservation reasons. Pertains to one b&w image of the Banff Springs Hotel set in the forests of the Bow Valley (possibly produced by Nicholas Morant but unknown); one colour image of the Whitehorn Sedan Lift in Lake Louise showing a woman riding the lift, taken by Nicholas Morant; one colour poster promoting "Canadian Pacific Railway Company Steamship Lines Atlantic Service", annotated by Nicholas Morant on the back. - Items were originally stored separately. Poster of Banff Springs Hotel was stored out of poster tube, secured with white string. Paper label wrapped around said: "OLD PHOTO BSH Bow View" Poster image of sedan lift was originally in poster tube with Canadian Pacific label that read: "LAKE LOUISE SEDAN LIFT POSTERS 1960" Poster of CP Steamship was in poster tube labelled "CPR LAKE BOAT ADVERTISING (FRAMED) PICTURE" , numbered "36" at top, with shipping address label: "Canadian Pacific SUPPLIES 1 Upshover { Req. - History / Biographical
- Sidney Smith was the illustrator of 'The Gumps' comic strip, which ran from 1917 to 1959 in the Chicago Tribune. Smith was killed in a car accident in October 1935, shortly after signing a 3-year contract worth $1 million to continue production of the comic strip. "The Gumps" illustrations were then produced by Gus Edson, who kept up the comic strip for another 24 years.

- File consists of one illustration with attached b&w print cutout, and one wooden board with poster glued on either side. Content pertains to a hand-drawn illustration by cartoonist Sidney Smith of his famous character, Andy Gump (signed by artist and addressed to Nicholas Morant); and two portions of an advertising poster for cruises in Asia (possibly Canadian Pacific Steamlines but unknown, n.d.)

- Item V500 / III / D / 5 / PA - 94 O.S. has rough wooden edges (poster glued onto either side of wood base) and poses risk for other items in storage; has been scanned on both sides, and can be viewed under file in : common > A&L internal > case_files > m300_v500_s20_morant Poster board was originally stored inside large, dark brown picture frame which held V500 / III / D / 5 / PA - 93 O.S.
