On the back is a soft yellowing piece of tape covering what appears to be a metal ring.b — Camera case is brown leather with dark brown edging and light brown stitches. Front face reads: “HIT” in cursive, and the back has three brown buttons, the largest of them connecting to a metal clasp. Attached on either side is a brown leather strap with a metal buckle.

Measurements of component a:Height: 4.6 cm Width: 6.1 cm Depth: 7.0 cm a — Small square silver metal camera box. Front face has two circular lenses one above the other, the smaller one on top. The left side has a gold vertical semicircle that reads: “START THE PAPER UNDER THIS YOKE”, and is half hallowed, in the space is a vertical silver metal bar capped by metal circles on either end, one is grooved the other is not. The right side has a gold vertical semicircle that reads: “START THE PAPER UNDER THIS YOKE”, and is half hallowed, the space is empty. On top is small black rectangular hole, inside is a slanted piece of plastic that reflects the lens. The back is open, showing the object’s hollow interior, and has moveable black metal bars on either side. Inside the hollowed space is a triangular piece of plastic, a folded article titled “The Choice of a Camera” and a small paper bag with small metal screws that reads: “Ashdown’s Hardware”. b — Small brown box with leather exterior and wooden interior. Front face has two circular holes one above the other, the smaller one on top. The back has a circular hole covered by a piece of hard red plastic on the inside. The interior of the box is hollow where component a fits. Inside near the front face is a removable square piece of wood, on the front it has a complicated gold metal button and lever, and on the back are two holes one above the other — this piece is possibly the shutter. The floor of the inside reads: “POCKET KODAK; MADE BY THE EASTMAN KODAK CO. ROCHESTER, N.Y., USA; PATENTED MAY 5, 1885; AUGUST 6, 1888...”.
